Puerto Natales is the provincial capital of Última Esperanza and is located at sea level on the edge of the Señoret canal and in front of the Patagonian Andes mountain range. It is the gateway to beautiful natural landscapes such as the world-famous: Torres del Payne National Park and the Milodon Cave Natural Monument. The destination has a population of 15,500 inhabitants and is the starting point to many tourist attractions in the greater area. It currently has a large tourist infrastructure with a range of different hospitality services to serve the needs of tourists. Puerto Natales aims on the integral development of the community. Positioning Natales as a destination with sustainable tourism management that involves local communities, highlighting the value of indigenous peoples and traditions which adds to value to conservation of nature and cultural richness.
