The Otun Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary is located in Risaralda State along the Otun River, protected by National Natural Parks of Colombia. The Sanctuary is a preserved area, from the 4.890 sq km, 60 are used for touristic purposes. It is part of the natural routes of the UNESCO Cultural Coffee Landscape and the ecotouristic services are managed by the local Communitarian Association Yarumo Blanco. The destination’s main commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism is to educate local community in the area and visitors for conservation through tourism, preserving the basin of the Otún River and as part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape UNESCO Heritage.
