Cogne is a municipality part in the Gran Paradiso National Park, the oldest National Park in Italy and also a member of the Alpine Pearls organization. In order to reduce traffic, Cogne offers free public transport to its visitors. Moreover, besides well protected natural areas, the destination also actively safeguards urban areas. Furthermore, Cogne supports the preservation of local identity by promoting it through various traditional associations.
